Meet Dr. Simmons

Dr. Michael Simmons is a graduate of Northwestern University Dental School and Ohio State University Orthodontic Program. He served in the United States Navy Dental Corp as Lieutenant Commander. He was an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the Medical College of Georgia and has been published in several orthodontic journals. While at the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Simmons was the graduate orthodontic clinical coordinator, and was the orthodontist for the Cleft Lip and Palate team.

Dr. Simmons has an exclusive practice of Orthodontics and has practiced in Statesville, NC, for the past 29 years. During this time, he has served as President of the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, President of Iredell County Dental Society and Chairman of the Health Education Advisory Council for Iredell County Schools. Dr. Simmons is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He became an Invisalign Certified Provider in 1999.

In addition to practicing orthodontics, Dr. Simmons is a certified snow ski instructor with the Professional Ski Instructors of America and the Primary Movement Teaching System. He has traveled extensively to ski all over the world.
